¿Have you thought about going by kayak in Menorca?

Traveling from bay to bay, following the coast line, snorkeling, bathing , resting and then taking up the oars again. Making the most of the sun rise to see how the sun comes up over the horizon, or even one of the marvelous Menorcan sunsets – whichever you prefer….

This needn´t just be a dream. It´s as easy as hiring a kayak and deciding how you are going to spend the day amongst the beauty and nature of Menorca. There are many places in Menorca you can enjoy these wonderful sensations, but from Menorca Rentals we would recommend the following two routes on the south of the island:

  1. Leaving from Cala Canutells and arriving at Cales Coves. On the way you will find attractive caves which have formed in the cliffs. La Cova de sa Fonteta, with its impressive entrance in the form of an archway; the Cova des Magatzems, in which the smugglers took refuge; La Cova de ses Arxes which has an enormous stalagtite at the entrance. A journey of 2.4km., 1.2 nautical miles.

  2. Leaving from Cala Galdana, to visit Macarella and Macarelleta, two of the most beautiful unspoiled beaches on Menorca. You can begin the route from the end of the bridge, at the end of the beach. The almost white rocks with their vegetation hide away some of the little coves that you can only reach by sea. A swim and a dive with your snorkel and mask in Macarella will refresh you. The journey is 2km., 1.2 nautical miles.

Remember to consult the weather forecast before you do any nautical activity. If you have already navigated some of Menorca´s coast line, which is your favourite spot?
