Is there TV in the apartments?
Some do, but not all the apartments have TV as they are privately owned and some don´t have antenae. Every year more are installing them, so if you feel that this is a necessity for your holiday, please let us know on your booking reservation and we will make a note of it. Our Spanish television has TDT and some foreign channels.
Do the properties have sheets and towels?
Both villas and apartments are equipped with towels and sheets for the number of people confirmed on the booking. Sheets are changed once a week and towels twice, so long as the holiday stay is for 7 nights or longer. If the stay is shorter than this there is one change only. Reception will confirm this on your arrival.
Can I take a pet?
Pets are not allowed in the apartments. As to the villas, some owners will allow pets, depending on which animal and a deposit is required beforehand to cover any possible damage.
If my flight arrives later than 10.00 pm., will there be anyone in reception waiting for me?
Reception´s timetable is from 9.00am to 10.00pm in summer, but after that there is someone on night duty to wait for the clients who arrive later. It is always a good idea to inform us of your arrival time so that we can wait for you.
Are there many insects in the area, like mosquitos, etc.?
Son Bou is an area with a lot of vegetation and so there are always insects around. Behind the beach and therefore in front of the apartments there is a large area of march land which is home to many wild birds and fowl. The apartments are surrounded by gardens and trees with lawns and flowering shrubs, and so its quite possible to find the occasional ant in the apartments. We recommend that you don´t leave any food around that isn´t either in a sealed container or in the fridge. In the commercial zone there a chemist should any insect repelent be needed.
Is there Wi-Fi in the apartments?
Primarily there isn´t any internet in the apartments. However, you will find WiFi access in our reception and in the bars and restaurants in the comercial zone. If you have a portable internet connection, this will work as there is enough coverage.
Can I park near the apartment?
Around each zone of apartments there are free parking areas which are for public use. The beach also has a large car park which is free for everyone, however, in the summer months it´s difficult to find parking if you arrive late in the day.
What day do they come to clean?
The price includes two cleans a week. The day depends on your day of arrival and the length of the stay. When you check in at Receptio, they will tell you. The team of cleaners work until 3 p.m. Should you need extra cleaning services, this is requested at reception and there will be an extra charge.
If I should have a problem with the property, who do I contact?
Reception is open every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. for whatever problem or emergancy you may have with your property, from a light bulb which needs replacing to clean towels. You can go directly or call the contact number that reception will give you on arrival. For emergencies outside reception hours the mobile phone number is 0034-659900513.
Is there a minibus from the apartments to the beach at Son Bou?
There isn´t a bus service from the apartments to the beach. A special site-seeing train circulates the urbanization independently from Menorca Rentals, and has various stops, one of which is near the beach. The round trip costs 3€. There are, however, local buses which give a regular service, conecting Son Bou with Alaior, Mahon and Cuitadella.
What time do I have to leave the apartment on the day of departure?
The official time to leave the apartment is at 10.00 am. as the cleaning service has to prepare the apartment for the next guests. The day before reception will tell you if it is possible to stay a little longer. This will obviously depend on whether the apartment will be occupied straight on or if the next guests arrive in the afternoon. This cannot be guarenteed and there is an extra charge.
